About Us

The Butler Hospital Memory & Aging Program was founded in 1997 with a goal of assisting individuals with memory loss and dementia as well as their families. The Program provides high-quality, comprehensive evaluation and treatment of memory disorders and is dedicated to developing new treatments. The Program is directed by Stephen Salloway, MD, Chief of Neurology and Paul Malloy, PhD, Neuropsychologist and is located on the Butler Hospital campus in Providence, RI (USA) and is affiliated with the Alpert Medical School of Brown University

In addition to Drs. Salloway and Malloy, our staff consists of clinical and research nurse coordinators, office staff as well as neuropsychology interns and postdoctoral fellows, trainees and work-study students from Brown University, and volunteers.

Our activities are divided into three main areas: clinical care, clinical research, and training.
