Butler Hospital New Senior Treatment Building

new building

Butler Hospital’s Senior Treatment Center provides short-term, acute evaluations and interventions for older people with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementias. The design of this center meets the specialized care requirements of the older population, and offers much needed acute-care beds for this growing population. “The new building has been designed to enhance and preserve the privacy and dignity of our senior patients,” said Patricia R. Recupero, JD, MD, president of Butler Hospital.

The facility’s layout provides nurses with a clear line of sight into all patient rooms and all open spaces. It also offers soundproofing, motion detectors, call systems and specialized bathing and nursing areas, which will create an environment that combines service, safety and comfort.
