Walter Covell
87 years young but who’s counting…

Mr.
Walter Covell is a model of healthy aging. He was born January 6, 1917,
the fourth of 5 children. He states that he never thought
much about
diet or exercise until his late 70’s. He never remembers feelings
of stress in his life, even though he has accomplished much in many areas.
A World War II Veteran, he was in Antwerp during the Battle of the Bulge.
He has worked in New York, Providence, and Boston as an actor and has
performed a variety of roles including television, radio, and local theater
to playing the famous role of Colonel Mustard for a video version of the
popular game ‘Clue’.
He maintains a sharp mind and can quote almost all the decedents of Roger Williams. He is the 2004 President of ‘Sons of the American Revolution’- SOAR. He spends much time and energy clarifying and updating this lineage. He has always loved a challenge and doing puzzles this love lead him to create cryptic puzzles for three friends. He enjoys doing the NY Times crossword puzzles so one day he decided to send in a sample and his second one was accepted. Since 1982 the Times has been using 4-6 of his puzzles a year. He has authored several puzzle books as well.
What is Mr. Covell’s secret to healthy aging?….maintain moderation, enjoy everyday and everything you do….keep your life full of variety and challenges….keep trying at whatever you do, in what ever you want to accomplish ….be proud of every accomplishment no matter its success to others…. limit stress,…. life can be long if you do these things…and of course thanks to a whole lot of good luck with fate and ones genes!
